Kids discovered one in our yard we had a bird house up on a tree and it had fallen a day before Easter. We didn't disturb it in fear or the mother bird abandoning the eggs. Well, the kids thought maybe we had hid an Easter egg inside only to discover a 2 foot beauty inside. The Robin's eggs are of course gone and that's sad but we left the house for him for awhile. I am going to move it later and find him a better home.

I think one of these snakes just climbed onto my bike's basket where a dove had made a nest and laid 2 eggs which would have hatched probably tomorrow. He of course scared dove away and ate the eggs. Very sad.

I was taking the dog for an evening walk in the dark and stepped on something soft.. I turned on my little flashlight and saw a beautiful little two foot long red rat snake. I forgot to take my phone/camera with me so no photos. It was a happy ending. I followed it until it went into a bed of ferns.

I was doing "work" on my boat trailer, lying on my back, in the weeds and grass...and saw the beautiful red rat snake slide past me and into a bunch of cabbage palms. Didn't say hello or stop and stare.
Lots of eggs under the covered trailer, and each, with a small hole on top of the egg. What's that all about. I did not
disturb them. Bob Poller, Port St Lucie.

Just removed a 2 foot long specimen from my garage. Hopefully it will find a more suitable home here in Valrico.

I WAS GOING TO SIT ON THE LOUNGE CHAIR WHEN I LIFTED THE TOP TO A 5GAL. BUCKET , AND THERE IT WAS....I WAS FACE TO FACE WITH THIS BEAUTIFUL RED RAT SNAKE! AFTER I REALIZED THAT IT WAS NOT A SPITTING COBRA, I CAUTIOUSLY REPLACED THE BUCKET TOP AND WENT FOR MY CAMERA AND MADE A BEAUTIFUL PICTURE.
