8-2-04 I Never Knew Lonely

Fullerton, California

No other lover ever really cared
When I've reached out for you you've always been there
Now I'm so far away and baby I'm scared
I never knew lonely til you

You are my rock and the strength I need
To keep me sane in this life that I lead
Now I'm not with you and my broken heart bleeds
I never knew lonely til you

I never knew lonely could be so blue
I never knew lonely could tear you in two
I never loved someone like I love you
I never knew lonely til you

I can't make up for the times I've been gone
But I'll prove I love you in the words of this song
Back in your arms girl it's where I belong
I never knew lonely til you

I never knew lonely could be so blue
I never knew lonely could tear you in two
I never loved someone like I love you
I never knew lonely til you

The red lights make me wonder why you chose to leave them this way. It draws the viewer deeplyinto the image, and the lyrical pairing is quite well done and only enhances the feeling of the image. Do you have the song in your head when you shoot these, or do you come across the images and think of the prose that will go with it after the fact. either way, this is very well done, a piece of art to be true.

Very impressive picture. The red lights and the B&W surrounding give it a dramatic impression

Just wonderful. Such an atmosphere of departure and lonliness. Spot color is right on. Well done.

Well done! I like the dots of red in contrast to the grayscale.
