I dodged overcast skies and showers all day with these birds. Editing images,I began to see the times when they were sitting were resting times, when the eyelids would be closed (even in my presence - that's trust [and an indication of how tired and stressed they are]). By being patient, I could catch them alert. Still, I used the on-board flash to insure the catchlight and give the image that extra "punch," a boost in contrast. This is the really nice image I tried to post on Exx Friends but for whatever reason it wouldn't post. Glad you enjoyed it; thanks for looking.
