Yellow Springs is found, east of Dayton, along US 68 a few miles south of Interstate 70. It is the home of Antioch College, a well known liberal arts school, and has many interesting buildings, shops, and eating places. Yellow Springs is also on the Little Miami Scenic Trail, a former railroad right-of-way that loosely parallels the Little Miami River.
Nearby we find John Bryan State Park with a number of trails hiking and horse trails. Adjacent to that park there is the Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve with additional trails along the top rim and also down in the gorge carved out by the Little Miami River.
This was a two day stop on our Eclipse Ramble 2017. We also stopped back a few days later on the return leg of our trip to enjoy lunch at the Mills Park Hotel after having an excellent dinner there during the earlier stay.
