Oy! One of those studio visits you don't want to experience. "Hey Dave, there's a
crack in your plate!" In hindsight, hastening the completion of this piece to make
the cut for end of semester firing was probably not a good idea. Better it had a week
of slow drying. Ah well, I gouged out the cracks a bit and filled them in with clay
containing paper pulp. (Stay tuned ...) At this stage, the outer rim is 12.2 inches in
diameter, 6.4 for the inner dish. Outside rim is 1.6 inches high, inner rim, 2.7 inches.
