Approximately 4.5 inches tall; wheel-thrown at the March 21 class (after two instant
clay blob failures). More or less shaped whatever way the clay wanted to go -- Zeus
help us if we had to make something "to specification!" The key to wheel-throwing is
to get the initial blob of clay carefully centered on the wheel. Failure to do so
tends toward an eccentric rotation that leads to assymmetry. This is approximately
leather-hard as shown, being kept in a plastic bag until the next class where it will
be trimmed on a wheel. Typically this trim includes lightly hollowing out the base.
