There were ten of these poking out of pods along the hull, strategically located to be
able to fire at just about any location along the hull as well as further out. I'd imagine
small craft attempting to come along side could be dealt with severely. The operating, loading,
and firing end seen here intruded into places like the crew wardroom and the captain's stateroom.
