Here we have abandoned the wheel and are building
a slab pot; a rectangle with sloping sides. A few
pounds of Standard Ceramics #259 have been rolled
out to about 5/16" thick with a slab roller. The
resulting slab was then cut into trapezoidal side
and end pieces, a rectangular piece for a flat
bottom, and some smaller pieces to creat feet.
Here the end of the side pieces have been
mitered and then assembled by scoring the
mating surfaces and brushing slip on them.
