The George Prince Co., located in Buffalo, was one of the top makers of these
modest free reed instruments in the mid 1800s. This example is a rosewood case
made circa 1870. These are pumped with a foot pedal. In the late 1800s this idea
was expanded into substantially larger instruments often called "parlor organs."
