A portion of this trail has a few educational signs posted describing a bit of
the history and resources of the area. According to this, in colonial times, grapevine
sap was believed to repair baldness, and a medicinal salve was made from poison ivy
root! (The sign suggests that use of said salve may be undesirable for some people.)
