A true wide angle Series VII shade would block the viewing
lens, but by cutting the length of this one, we have a shade that
should not vignette like the previous one. There is a bit of a phantom
at the lower edge of the viewing frame but it is workable. (Normally
we use a Bay 1 shade, but that can't combine with a Series 7 filter.)
