This was a 3.5 MW 25 Hz, 3-phase alternator being driven by a two-cylinder
internal combustion engine burning combustible gas from the blast furnaces.
Alas, the cylinders, pistons, rods and valve gear have been butchered away.
There were once seven of these machines in a building at this spot.
