Odds and ends of man's handiwork picked up along the way. Some shots are of a paper mill "east of the Mississippi." Numbers 1, 2, 3 and 5 are scanned from 35mm Ektachrome 100 slides, #4 is from a 35mm negative, all were scanned on an Epson 3200 flatbed. There is a small section of the 3200 PPI scan of #1 for amusement. (Well, this IS all about playing with the toys!)
The shots of blast furnaces are at the decommissioned Bethlehem Steel plant in the city of Bethlehem. The B&W steel plant shots on this page are taken with a pinhole camera.
For some really artistic views of the USA's industrial ruins, see the gallery of Roy Wakefield for some spectacular work.
See more of the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works at its own gallery page.
The shots in Royersford reflect major changes in the lower Schuylkill Valley. A former large industrial site is being rehab'ed into moderately upscale high density housing.
More of Fleetwood and the auto body company building are found in a sub-gallery off Ye Old Photographer's Berks County gallery: Fleetwood.
