The Sunday morning demonstration at Handbuilt 2013 was by Chandra DeBuse. Chandra does a lot of pieces incorporating drawings using sgraffito techniques. She has considerable facility with drawing and keeps a sketch book at the ready. She has come up with several series of pieces with whimsical illustrations. Fuzzy little creatures appear on some of her work. Captures of projected slides here are from Chandra's Friday night introductory presentation.

Chandra makes much use of templates and drop molds and has even incorporated a computerized craft cutter into her studio. Craft foam is one of her favorite materials, used as a template, and even as a support which can be easily peeled off after formed pieces have dried a bit.
