On Saturday afternoon, Laura Donefer demonstrated the creation of two pieces, this being the first. The piece was a fairly large highly textured vessel with all sorts of random colors worked into it. Alas, the final result does not appear here, as large glass pieces go into an annealing kiln where the temperature is slowly brought down over a period of many hours to relieve internal stresses and get the piece to room temperature without cracking.
