This is a side trip off the main Schuylkill River Trail. It runs closer to the river than the former railroad grade. The east end starts from the Betzwood Picnic Ground and runs upriver to Pawling Road where there is another trailhead parking area. One could do a short on-road stretch of Pawling Road to reach the Schulkill River Trail trailhead parking area.

The area between this trail and the Schuylkill River Trail has some rougher trails more suited to mountain or trail bikes.

Alas, on the first traverse of this trail Ye Olde Photographer's digi-cam ran out of memory. We'll capture some more one of these days.
