Weird beetles 0095 (V41)

American Carrion beetles feeding on a mushroom.
Thanks to Harald Schillhammer for the ID.

Shot with my 70-200 VR plus Canon 500D closeup lens.

This lens combo gives surprisingly sharp, saturated macros for a large, complex zoom with a closeup attachment.

That's a nasty group of beetles. To them, it's either a lovefest or a trip to a nice restaurant.
