In this image I seem to have captured the exact moment when the pellet made contact with the balloon. There is no gap between the shadow on the pellet and the balloon, and the balloon is not stretched at all. I was trying for a shot with the pellet 1" inside the balloon. I must have missed when I measured the distance to the balloon.
