San Simeon 176 ChurchBell.jpg

San Simeon, California

When I climbed the chain-link fence surrounding this building in the tiny town of San Simeon to get the angle for this picture, I thought I was shooting a religious site undergoing renovation. My research indicates that this bell is more likely mounted in the wall of William Randolph Hearst's Spanish style warehouse (undergoing renovation).

I like this shot. If it's anything like the rest of Hearst properties, this bell probably came from and old church in Spain!

I like your careful placement of elements in the image, Dirck. A very nice composition.

Great composition. I hate it when a good chance comes along and the card has run dry.

Very cool! Very Ansel Adams like. I like the shapes going on.

I think it's a great shot - and hey, at least it's undergoing renovation!
