| The Tum-a-Lum Lumber Company is decorated with the mural "Peace Treaty of 1855" by R.E. Pierce and Don Prechtel. The treaty provided that approximately 1,400 Indians in several tribes in the region be placed on the 11,000 square mile Warm Springs Reservation. In return, the Indians ceded all their lands to the United States Government for $150,000 to be paid over twenty years. |
