After years in this home with insufficient lighting in our basement we are having an electrician out to correct the issues, install new lights along with new outlets and generally make things better with our electrical panel and distribution of circuits. I had no intention of doing this but recently every time I plug something into an outlet in the basement and the garage outlets magically go offline along with the basement power and I have to stomp around the basement, flashlight in hand over to the electrical panel to reset the breaker- yeah, I don't care what I have to spend. I am so over the horrible electrical layout in this house. Why they put the garage, outdoor outlets and every single item in our basement other than the sump, washer, dryer, furnace on a single 15 amp circuit- what were they thinking?

All these repairs and all our basement lights will be on switches. No more pull chain lights.
