I am in one of those times where I just have absolute and utter no desire to pick up a camera. We'll be on vacation a few weeks and I have a day set aside to shoot wildlife in Hilton Head, SC but right now it's a huge chore to want to grab my D800 and shoot it. I hate that feeling, I am not even that happy with this shot but it's a PaD so it counts. Flynn would be happy to still be trying to drink Lake Erie dry while I figured this shot out but I settled on this after about 106 gallons poured out of this hose. I guess I should be glad I live in Ohio and not California as I'd be posting bail and not a PaD after this with all their water restrictions.

I hear and feel what you say, though I'm just starting to come out of that slump.
But this one is still a fine shot anyway. The texture of the wet fur vs the texture of the flowing water makes for an excellent "look and feel of urban wildlife" shot. The spray of drops from the licking tongue and the bubble off to the left round out the image.
As for LA, it was really only a matter of time before mutha nature looked down and said "HEY, WHICH ONE OF YOU BOZOS DECIDED TO PUT A CITY IN THE MIDDLE OF AN ALMOST DESERT??"

Definitely a struggle at times, but this image isn't bad.

Yep! I feel your pain. I have a busy few months ahead of me - and very little ambition for images! Hope that changes for both of us!
