Walking back from dinner with Tracy we came over the International Gateway walking path to see perfect streaks of lightning bolting across the sky. Figuring it was a once in a million view I continued walking and my wife said we should see if I can capture an elusive lightning shot. No tripod, no release and just my beat up old Sigma 24-70 "travel lens" I set up on a trash can at her urging. Seconds after lining up I got this and one other shot and it was over.
