I celebrated ringing in the 4th of July with a fellow PBase Photographer and Facebook friend early this morning over a nice styrofoam cup of ice and this Rye Whiskey from Canada. Brennan who is a stellar photographer and whom has taken it upon himself to teach us Americans that good Whiskey can be made outside of Kentucky/USA schooled me last night. Impressed with this smooth Rye blend. Well done my friend- well done (and a HUGE THANK YOU for letting me have the rest of the bottle)
I can't tell you how nice it is to meet someone from afar that you have developed a friendship with online. While the impromptu social gathering was in a parking lot at a motel and we both had to be up early get on with our days, as I said to Brennan between savoring this Whiskey it amazing how commonalities bring people together.
Learning about his picking up a Nikon D70 6 or 7 years ago to hearing of his shooting exploits with the Drag Races here in Norwalk Ohio and his adventures in buying filters and big lenses. I'll look forward to your next pass thru our little town an maybe find you a decent place to eat dinner and find cold beer. In the mean time, cheers and thanks for sharing some of Canada's best! Hope to see you in October?
