Sitting here in the Maui International Airport sipping drinks with Tracy and watching Sarah eat "Pink Berry". Embracing my vacations buzz for a few minutes longer I am hearing music in the background playing. "Happiness is a destination" is a line I picked up in the song as I am shooting this photo of Sarah.

If there is a destination called "happy", then I am here. Married for almost 20 years to a great wife with two girls that love me and Tracy unconditionally. A good career and a home that I never imagined I'd live in. Friends and good times. Humbled! Happy…

If "happiness is a destination" than I think it's about how you get there. Complaining and being negative will get you nowhere. Envy of others or comparing yourself to those around you is a road to miserable-ville.

Happiness is a self fulfilling journey. Maybe it's the 2 ice cold Longboard Ales (my new favorite beer) being played out in todays PaD but I can't help smile as I keep singing this line over and over and over "happiness is a destination". With a compass calibrated on my three girls I'll be sure to be there everyday…
