Maui. Would I go again? Yes.
Could I live here? Hell Yes…
Could anything have been done different? A direct flight home but that's another day away and what I am sure will be a PaD unto its own picture.


Overall, the photo gods were pretty cruel this trip. Limited sun, lots of rain, no rainbows. Gray skies, lots of gray skies. Lots! Bad light from sun up to sun down and no stary skies to go up in these mountains for my passion, night photography. But, a shitty day/week in Maui in February beats a nice day in Cleveland. While I whined how awful it was-it's a trip of a lifetime and I am grateful to have come for this past week. Hawaii, I'll be back!

Whales at peak season and seeing and photographing other wildlife more than made up for other awful weather… Todays PaD, shot by guest shooter and local photographer David Watersun. Unfortunately he's a Canon shooter but I think I immediately pulled him to the dark side as soon as he glanced thru the pure magic of the 14-24 2.8. He nailed this shot on a moving boat capturing what is a picture perfect day in Maui. Sun, Sea, Sky!


Time to pack it in and head on home tomorrow…
