Lovely, serene image. Wonderful sensitivity to light and color. Really captures the feeling of that moment in that place. I think photographing close to home in places we know intimately gives us the opportunity to explore the same scene in some depth over time. I certainly envy your location...

Thanks Bob, Glad you like it. Actually it was one of those moments where the sun came through a whole in the clouds and lit the tops of them up. I had about 1 minute to grab the camera take the picture before the clouds filled the sun back in. It was early in the morning and I was just sitting looking over the lake. It was taken out my front window.

Spectacular image! I'm personally drawn to photos with a reflective water element, so I can really appreciate the time you must have taken to get the right conditions for this shot. I assume that you caught this image in the morning as the sun was rising to get the highlights on the trees from top to bottom.
