I looked at the cost of wood baseboard and decided to go with a good rubber cove base on the floor. I have installed a lot of this stuff while working summers at The Orchard School with Steve McEwen, Russ Dickison, and Mark Whitson. I have these guys to thank for exposing me to many of the construction techniques/procedures that I have used in this project. Tim, you keep telling me that it looks good and I am doing it right. Well, I have these guys to thank for "teaching" me how to do it right. I normally would wait until door trim was installed but I am going to mill my own so I took the cove base right to the edge of the door jam.
