oh yes and I watched Blue Velvet again last week!

What I look for in my own work is not something esthetically satisfying but
something to jar my sensibilities, throw my head off the trolley, something that
says wait a minute. I want something that destroys our prejudices and preconceptions
and makes us consider, for the first time maybe, just what the hell this

I'm not familiar with the films people mention and lack eloquency myself, but what I do appreciate is your creatiVity by showing the circular story and the rich colours chosen here.
OK, I'll leave you to get on with the clearing up - I can hear the sirens.

So SO good. It's a tough call but possibly my favourite work from you this year. Absolutely rings of Memento in it's apparent-snapshot-but-perfectly-planned style. Was caught off guard by the repeated images in an unexpected way but really grew to like that, and now find it impossible to imagine the series without them. Very impressive.

Wow...initial thoughts: This is an amazing series, great to see such visual touchstones like Pulp Fiction and Lost Highway mentioned below. I'm looking at the set of 8 above thinking to myself 'how on earth do you do that...where do you start...what...eh...???'. The elements of repetition - the photos of scenes re-appearing in photos of scenes, or the same set-up viewed from a couple of different angles - is so cool, it really does disorientate even within what is fundamentally a short gallery. You don't need 50 or 100 pictures.
More considered thoughts: Fookin'ell.

Geez mate..I leave you alone for a moment and look what happens. I really like the way this plays with your head and time..has a kind of 'Pulp Fiction' feel with the way you twist events.... not in sync. Excellent.

what an interesting gallery - like the way the images loop round on themselves, giving one a sense of no-beginning/no-ending
