Many will remember the tragic times Victorian families went through during Black Saturday where a series of bushfires that ignited on Saturday 7 February 2009 during one of our most extreme bushfire-weather conditions. 173 people perished along with countless number of wildlife and other animals.

This artwork is a tribute to everyone who volunteered their time and effort during this turbulent time, and to those who are still providing for those affected.
