Thanks, Virginia for your thoughts on this - you have an excellent point. I suppose though, I was focusing on the texture - and the cans and green leaves were an interruption.
Interesting composition; differences in testure; nice muted colors. But it seems like too much area for my eyes to wander in & there's no specific path that draws my eye back to the can. Try cropping in a little closer to the can perhaps, imho.
