Insect Biomechanics by Richard

I knew this insect had a interesting wing-joint, but it took a macro lens to reveal the detail and textures

Hi racketman,

No, this photograph was taken with a Canon 35mm bellows lens.

This one just seemed to want to little more punch, somehow. I love the subject, the use of the shallow focal depth to emphasize the joint, and the strong diagonal composition.

good detail - was it taken with the Sigma 105 macro?
