Yes, the lighter and cigarette are mine - I really struggled with those pics because I have never used extension tubes before - thanks for the compliment though.
I do really like your pic - the B&W, composition, textures, shadows, and lighting are all absolutely incredible ... there just something about the lighting and shadows that really captures me with this image - I already added it to my pbase favorites ... very nice job man.

Thanks for your comments, guys. They give me the push to make the most of my modest means. There was an earlier version I had posted but I didn't like it. So off for another attempt: I took a 500 W halogen lamp and built an adventurous stack to put the board in the right angle. - Are you the Jason who has submitted the lighter and cig close-ups? The lighter is fantastic. The cog made me think of a ship engine at first view and only a second look and your title help to get its role in another, micro world.
