The Milky Way
by Dale R. Palmer

The sky was perfect last night for Milky Way photography. The moon wouldn't rise for another two hours, the sky was clear, ... perfect.

How much of the pink was actually seen and how much of that color was your post processing? Is that pink coloring cloud cover or something else? You are definitely DPF's Master of the Milky Way. Someday, I'll have to try to photograph the Milky Way myself. Unfortunately, we get too much light pollution where we live to shoot much more than just the moon... You are very lucky to have clear, dark skies in which to do your celestial photography. Are the dark spots "black holes"? Fascinating.
