Puerto Limon
by Liz Bickel

Costa Rica

The country's most important port,
Puerto Limon was founded in 1870 as a port city to export bananas and grains from Costa Rica to various parts of the globe.

Photographed in B&W with a Bridge Camera.
Interestingly, only the JPG version of this image is Monochrome. The RAW version contains all of the original colors.
Another reason to shoot both RAW and JPG. RAW keeps all of the original image data.

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ300
1/80s f/2.8 at 10.1mm iso500 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Very nice setting and love it in b/w.

Very pretty shot, especially in B&W. I'm surprised that I don't see any people in the shot, though. I would have thought a pier like this would be bustling.

Odd, too, that the RAW version has all of the colors. I never knew it could do that.

Looks like you are enjoying your trip.

Fun to see the littler boats, and the abundance of palm trees. Makes a very nice B/W shot.
