10-JUN-2015 Dale R. Palmer

Week #2 - Three Watermoccasins
by Dale R. Palmer

It is unusual for me to see three together like this. All three have lots of color so I wonder if they are not siblings. Older moccasins get blacker and lose their patterns somewhat.

I was about 20-30 feet away in a place where they could not get me, but they are in the wild. LOL

Oh my gosh! This shot is a little too close for comfort for me..lol Great patterns, textures and lines going on in this great shot, Braveheart Dale!

I'll be perfectly happy if you keep venomous like this in Florida and totally away from me!!! I have no problem with doing snake photography. But to be extra safe, I prefer to photograph venomous snakes at a Zoo and behind glass. Non venomous snakes are okay in everyday setting. Those don't bother me.
Good timing in capturing the heads of all three. You are probably right that they are siblings. Spring seems to be snake breeding season.

So Much Venom in one spot. Great shot! I love the contrasting colors.

Very cool shot to have the three together like that, Dale. You did a great job getting all three heads, which I'd guess was not easy.
