Red Tailed Rat Snake
by Laura Milholland

California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco

I don't know that I've taken a shot where I considered the bokeh in the foreground
of a photo before, but I thought this came out interestingly.
This was shot through glass with water drops on the inside of the glass.

Oh my! This is quite an interesting and well done shot. Love the water drop coming from his mouth.

Interesting, creative and unusual, Laura! Pretty cool!

I like the bokeh in the front. It makes it seem as though you are watching a movie and the snake is getting ready to transform into something else.

Interesting how the true subject is in focus, but you also got the refracted water drops in the foreground. That foreground does kind of look like Hollywood Bokeh.
