Selected because of the Memory

This photo was shot atop a rocky cliff that is the breeding grounds for the Waved Albatross on Espanola Island, Galapagos.
I climbed up the cliff over the kind of rocks and boulders that you see in this additional photo http://www.pbase.com/britestar/image/158984782
Luckily, it was a cloudy, overcast day, or else I wouldn't have survived the brutal climb.

I picked this shot, over others that may be "better", merely because this was my very FIRST photo of the very first Waved Albatross that I encountered.
Waved Albatross are critically Endangered in the Wild http://www.birdlife.org/datazone/speciesfactsheet.php?id=3955
Three fourth the Albatross eggs laid - in nests that I saw - had been abandoned and would never hatch.
