I did this for a photo site that I belonged to that had a challenge for "Popular Sayings", and I did this as a joke. The editing was done in Photoshop 6. I had earlier taken the shot of the blue bird, so I erased the background by hand with the eraser tool. I took the photo of my hand, and erased the background in it as well. Now, I did not like the look of my hand, so I did some smoothing. I also cloned out some little marks like freckels and such. I made the colored background, although I can't remember how I did it, but it was the easy part. I then made sure that the sizes were all compatible. I then layered the hand on the background. I layered the bird on in several layers, adjusting the opacity, and twisting the layer. This was just a fun thing, very simple to do but time consuming.
