I used the Pro Neg Std sim here as it was contrasty low-angled sunlight: Pro Neg renders a bit flatter and seems to white balance better for me as yet.
Right: I have taken this same shot on many occasions the past few years, using the Canon 1Ds Mk2 with a 70-200 f4LIS and 21mm Zeiss Distagon. OK, the Zeiss outstripped the Canon's 16MP sensor but yet again, full-frame is full frame .... I have never once before today returned the detail that is within this XT-2 shot.
I EXPECTED a degree of softening at f16 with a noisy fluffiness, anticipating a couple of sharpening passes in post ...but my, not a bit: I was even a bit miffed that diffraction HADN'T softened the stonework, as I was shooting for a bit of clever "glow" to make use of it.
