As I walked on from the previous shot, I knew the far buildings would "compress" and stack nicely at full stretch of the telephoto at 200mm, so I just tromboned it out and ensured I included both sets of people in the photo.
I normally take more time making sure my edges really work before committing to a shot (a landscaping habit that causes me to miss many a shot!)but was trying to quickly nail the light metering off the stonework and ensure the people didn't wander out of frame.
I was very pleased to get the seagull in the background against the trees as a happy accident!
