Focusing on the handrail here allows me to make use of the lens' hyperfocal distance even at f5.6, ensuring foreground and midground remains sharp.
Despite the strong lighting from the right I was able to make a low-contrast conversion from raw and also trawl in the nominal 6 stops of "dynamic range", thus drawing the maximum detail from areas that would otherwise be in shadow.
