The same day we discovered the osprey were gone was the day I discovered these red winged black bird babies. I was near the edge of the pond taking a picture of the butterfly when the male rw blackbird was diving at me having a fit. It didn't even sink in at first what was wrong. Then the female came in. As I was looking around there were several nests at the waters edge but they were empty. Then I saw some "fluff" move in the wind. Then I realized why the male was so upset.
