The company houses, while 'dated' were clean, spacious and comfortable with windows that open (for warm weather) and a vintage oil stove (for cool weather visits). Patrons accustomed to five star facilities may wish to drive a bit farther for accommodations. Our visit was during the Olympics so we were happy to have cable TV. There is no cell or WiFi service (see my GBT page for explanation). While the house was built in the 1920's, the furnishings and decor are probably 50 years newer than that matching the conversion of the town to a West Virginia State Park.
We had the smallest option house with three bedrooms upstairs and living, dining and kitchen downstairs. The kitchen has appliances (including microwave) and a selection of yard sale surplus dishes, pots and pans. Nothing is fancy but everything was functional. Persons weighing more than 250 pounds may find the single bathroom (indoors!) a bit cramped.
