June 22- What I Use

I didn't have anything in the camera for today.
So I thought I would share with you what I use
to get from there (the shot) to here (Pbase).
Toshiba Satellite Laptop
Logitech Wireless Mouse
Plextor Dual-Layer DVD Burner
Altec Lansing Stereo
Linksys Wireless G Broadband Router
Motorola Surfboard Cable Modem
Comp USA Mousepad
Foster's Lager Drink Coaster
Rainbow Slinky
Caffeine Free Diet Coke

What do you use?
Just curious : )

Nice shot! Thanks for sharing! As for me, I don't know all the fancy terms, but I have and IBM desktop my Dad bought me when I graduated college two years ago (but I'm not really that young!), a monitor that's big enough, maybe 15 inches. A mouse that's not wireless, but is on a smiley face mouse pad. A Lexar card reader that an incredible generous person from DPChallenge sent me free of charge! (really!) Photoshop 5.5, but hopefully soon CS2 since us students get GREAT deals on software! (Look out for crazy plug-in use in the coming weeks!) I live on campus and so we have a T3 line that connects us up nice and fast for downloading! Sometimes decaf coffee, sometimes seltzer water, sometimes wine. Fun stuff!

It's great to see that the photographers I really like don't all use the top of the line photo software! Excellent!

Excellent shot, and wonderful use of selective color. Currently I primarily use an HP laptop, sometimes with a Wacom tablet (but usually not). I've been thinking about getting a bigger monitor for the screen, but those far haven't. I also have a Windows P4 desktop but I don't like being tied to the desk...

That coke looks good, make mine a cherry fountain coke, with lemon.
Home built 4 years ago(with the scars to prove it) P4, 1g ram, celeron (ok, had to cut costs somewhere) 2 internal HD that are radpidly approaching fill capacity, external 200mg Maxtor rapidly approaching fill capacity, genreic DVD writer, generic CD reader, crummy 17" CRT that weighs as much as an elepant, Sufboard Modem hooked up for those wireless moments to Linysys G, radioshack CF card reader, PS. Writing this all down makes me think I need to upgrade my system :(

Very nicely done... Funny idea. And creative processing!
I use an "eMac" (sometimes a Powerbook)
No huge monitor for me ;-)

Great shot. I use a mid-tower PC with dual 200gb hds, AMD 64-bit processor, plexor dvd burner, altec lansing speakers, infrared logitech mouse, 19" Viewsonic flat panel monitor, Photoshop 8.0, NIK Color Efex Pro 2.0, NIK Dfine 1.0, dsl connection via linksys wired/wireless router. :-)

Fujitsu 3520 laptop (awesome screen), wireless router, recliner, and glass of wine (the reason my photos look blurry)

The important tool for me is my 19" LG screen (twistable to hig format)and my dsl (broadband) connection to the net. I use Paintshop Pro 9.x to work out my picture to create the "Kessler" effect. And there are two dictionaries (english and french)to help me with my messy language skills. And coffee, coffee, coffee....err french coffee!

Great setup! What's in the coke can????

Well, I hate laptop monitors! I have a huge chinese tower with a big CRT 19" monitor. :)
I've bought a laser mouse, outstanding precision and comfort.

Very nicely done. Very impressive setup you have.
Let's see : Dell laptop, CF Cardreader, Nikon Capture, Paintshop Pro 9.x (inexpensive and easy) and Netgear wireless network.

Brilliant selective coloring. Lots of specification, cool! I use two different desktops, depending if I'm concentrating at work or not ;D Always by my side is not a diet coke, it's my dictionary! I learn new words almost everyday on pbase and due to my limited knowledge, I rely much on the dictionary to express my views :-)

Love the selective coloring! ...Now I know who to email with computer equipment purchase questions! ;-)

A boy with his toys...I know I have a camera and a laptop...
Michael Todd Thorpe23-Jun-2006 00:31
Good black and white... Love the color isolation... (I think I would have just gone with the can though, but that's me.)
Me? I use Rebel to PowerMac G4 laptop to wireless to network to Pbase... ;-)
