Roman Arch

Roman Arch along the Straight Street. The arch is thought to have been part of a triple arch which marked an important intersection.

On some picture we also see a minaret that wrongly was interpreted by some as being the tower of the nearby Mariamite Cathedral, part of a larger complex. I found (on a map provided to me by a well-known author about the city) its name may well be the Minaret of the Mosque of al-Saddaka, the mosque itself seems to have gone.
