Khanqah al-Farafra

Rare, as it is a Sufi monastery, constructed in 1237 in the name of Ayyubid governor al-Nasr Yusuf II, son of Sultan al-Aziz, probably by his mother, Daifa Khatun. It has a honeycombed entrance, a large iwan in the courtyard and a marble mihrab. Cells surround the courtyard.

However, I did not see more than the entrance. I did visit the next-door headquarters of the Office for the protection of Old Aleppo.
