Located to the northwest of the Inner Castle this is also the core founding point of the city. During the excavations carried out here, palace walls belonging to the Artuqids, an eightcornered pool, and mosaics with six stars and motifs were unearthed. A notice indicated much older remains had been found, and one exected to proof after new excavations that the hill had settlements as much as 12 to 13 thousands years ago.
