The citadel or Kadifekale ("the velvet castle")

The Kale or Citadel is situated on a high hill, hard to climb, but when you're there the views are magnificent. I don't think I ever missed going there during any of the 9 times I visited the city (though I did not always take pictures).

The castle is located on the Mount Pagos (Greek: Πάγος, Pagus under the Roman Empire) which has an elevation of 186 metres. It was built in the 3rd century BC.

I googled with "yetimler yurdu" and did not find an orphanage. But there seems to be a "Karşıyaka Çocuk Esirgeme Kurumu" that you can find on Google. with an address.

Thank you! 6.5 yrs. have passed since I asked; no one else did reply here. I asked thousands of questions in every possible venue with almost no response - maybe I am invisible. I later came to understand it was still there from one I was inquiring. He went earlier last year/2021. Thank you kindly for your reply.
