Amidst these men proudly posing for the camera, the elder one with the cap wears a traditional Kurdish costume from the Turkish-Syrian border region. Compared to the ‘şal-şepik’-costume of the south-eastern region, this dress is made of less expensive fabric (cotton) and the cut of the trousers is different (less pyjamas-like, more baggy trousers style).
